When you book with me, I don’t really want to just be your photographer.

I want to be a friend, you local hype women, someone that makes you feel comfortable and a person who you feel like you can just laugh with. I want to advocate for your sessions and also help direct and guide you.

I grew up here in rural central Illinois.

I was that kid that organized wilderness trading cards and carried around a bug catcher. I wrote songs and recorded my own music on my cassette player all while wearing my long hair down like the rapunzel I wished I was.

I married my high school sweetheart. We got our degrees. I became a nurse. We moved to Colorado and then transitioned to a semi-nomadic lifestyle going to new states month to month. I started romanticizing my life more and more. As someone who carried their digital camera around everywhere they went, I decided to invest in photography equipment so that I could capture the feeling of the places I went. Then I had my daughter. My life changed, my heart changed. Taking pictures turned from a hobby into a necessity, to capture small moments in the flow of life. I moved away from nursing to stay home with my daughter so I could spend more time with her. And this is when my business began. What started as messages from friends asking me to take family photos turned into my business you see today. My goal is to help you take a step back, and capture a moment in time with the people you love. Thanks for being here.
