Here's the deal
When you invite me as your photographer into your life to capture your family, you’re trusting me with something really personal. Whether it’s your child’s first birthday, a quiet motherhood moment, or a simple afternoon with your kids, those memories are meaningful and deserve to be handled with care.
As a family photographer in Peoria, Illinois, I believe that trust is one of the most important parts of my job. And a big part of that trust is respecting your family’s privacy.
Your Photos Belong to You
I love sharing beautiful moments from sessions on my website and social media. It's my art and I absolutely love what I do. Not only am I loving my photos and wanting to show of you and your photos but it also helps other families see my work and get a sense of the kind of memories we can create together.
But at the end of the day, your photos belong to you.
If you ever feel uncomfortable with your photos being shared online, especially photos of your children, I want you to know that I will always respect that. Your comfort and your family’s privacy will always come first.
Some families are happy for me to share everything from their session. Others prefer that I avoid posting their children’s faces, and some families ask that their images remain completely private.
All of those choices are completely valid, and I will always honor whatever you decide.
Updated Questionnaires for Social Media Permission
To make sure every client feels comfortable and respected, I recently updated my session questionnaire!
When you book a session with me, you’ll now see a question that specifically asks whether you’re comfortable with me using your photos on my website or social media.
This gives you the opportunity to clearly communicate your preferences right from the start. Whether your answer is yes, no, or somewhere in between, your choice will always be respected. There is also an option to write in an answer so that you can explain exactly how you wish that I use your photos.
Clear communication helps make sure everyone feels confident going into their session.
As a mom, I COMPLETEly understand
As a mom myself, I understand that every family has different comfort levels when it comes to sharing photos online. Some parents are mindful about their children’s digital footprint, while others simply prefer to keep family moments more private. And I am here for it. Whatever choice you make,.
My goal as your photographer is to create a safe, relaxed environment where you can focus on what matters most: being present with your kids.
The giggles, the snuggles, the messy cake smash moments, the way your toddler wraps their arms around your neck, those are the memories we’re preserving together.
Photography Is Built on Trust
Being a photographer not only means taking beautiful photos but it also means creating an awesome experience. It means respecting the people in front of the camera and the boundaries they set.
Whether you’re booking a family session, motherhood session, couples session, first birthday cake smash, or seasonal mini session in the Peoria area, I want you to feel confident knowing that your privacy will always be honored. I have a lot of clients that trust me to take pictures of their kids and it's important for you to know I prioritize your wishes.
Because at the end of the day, these memories are yours, and it’s my job to protect them just as much as it is to capture them.
